How Timber Frame Construction Works
Heavy posts and beams (8x8 and larger) are hand-cut with mortise-and-tenon joinery and oak pegs by a specialty fabrication partner. Fabrication runs 8–12 weeks in parallel with sitework and foundation. On raising day, the bents are stood up, decked, and enclosed with structural insulated panels (SIPs) for walls and roof. The result is an open-span interior with exposed wood structure and a high-performance building envelope.
